Elevate ENT Partners is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sleep Technician to join their team in Louisiana. The Sleep Technician will conduct sleep studies, monitor patients during sleep, and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

Conduct Sleep Studies: Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies, including explaining procedures and fitting monitoring equipment

Conduct polysomnographic tests (PSGs) to diagnose sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy

Monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies, including EEG, EMG, ECG, respiratory, and oxygen saturation levels

Patient Monitoring and Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the sleep study

Respond to any patient needs or issues that arise during the study

Provide patient education on sleep hygiene and potential treatment options

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sleep study results and prepare detailed reports for physician review

Identify and document any abnormalities or significant events during the sleep study

Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain and calibrate sleep study equipment to ensure accurate data collection

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with monitoring equipment

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with sleep physicians, ENT specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding procedures, findings, and next steps
