Public Sector Account Executive – Salesforce Consulting Services

The Public Sector Account Executive will develop and manage relationships with government and public service organizations, assisting them in leveraging Salesforce to transform citizen services and digital operations.

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify new opportunities within state, local, and federal agencies, as well as public institutions and government-affiliated nonprofits
Collaborate with Salesforce Public Sector sales teams, system integrators, and AppExchange partners
Conduct discovery sessions to understand client goals in areas such as constituent engagement, case management, licensing and permitting, public health, and digital service delivery
Present tailored solutions leveraging Salesforce Public Sector Cloud, Data Cloud, AI, and integration platforms
Partner with Solution Architects and Delivery Leads to create accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals
Lead client presentations on proposed solutions, scope, pricing, and implementation plans
Navigate government procurement processes including RFPs, RFIs, and contracting requirements
Maintain strong post-sale relationships and identify expansion opportunities
Stay current on trends in government modernization, AI adoption, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, and NIST
Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
Track opportunities and forecasts using Salesforce CRM

Required

3–5 years of experience in consulting services sales, ideally within Salesforce, government, or enterprise technology
Understanding of public sector operations, procurement cycles, and compliance standards
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Proven experience contributing to or writing SOWs and pricing models for professional services
Familiarity with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions or other CRM platforms

Preferred

Experience working with or selling to state and local government agencies, education systems, or public health organizations
Prior experience at a Salesforce consulting partner or within the Salesforce ecosystem
Understanding of FedRAMP, HIPAA, CJIS, and related security requirements
Familiarity with AppExchange apps commonly used in the public sector (e.g., FormAssembly, DocuSign, Esri, MuleSoft, or Tableau)
Experience navigating GSA schedules or public procurement vehicles
