RIOS is an international design collective actively pursuing wonder within the design of the built environment. They are seeking a highly creative, self-motivated Designer to join their Experience Design team, who will support all phases of projects including programming and design development.

Responsibilities

Support the team in all phases of a project, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and documentation

Qualification

Required

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings

Ability to produce design intent drawings, including fabrication methods and material specifications

Solid understanding of construction terminology and fabrication processes

Knowledge of ADA compliance and relevant building codes related to experiential graphic design, signage, and wayfinding

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills

A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in experiential graphic design, signage and wayfinding, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Experience Design, Architecture, or a related field

Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Must be available to work in person three days per week

Preferred

3D rendering skills in Rhino or similar software are a strong plus

Experience with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, punch walks is a plus

Familiarity with SignAgent is a plus
