Responsibilities
Provide genetic counseling for sporadic, familial and hereditary forms of cancer and cardiac disease to both patients and families
Perform a cancer risk assessment
Assist the participants with strategies to cope with the risk information they receive
Support the development of research
Development of a genetic registry database
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetics Counseling (ABGC) accredited institution
Must hold a valid, current license as a genetic counselor in the state of NJ
At least 2 years clinical experience in genetic counseling with one year oncology specific cancer genetics
Computer Skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint Meditech and Athena
Good written and oral communication skills
Preferred
American Board of Genetics Certification preferred
Current BLS
