PGIM Global Services-Analyst, Investment Operations (Hybrid/Newark,NJ/Tampa,FL)
PGIM is the Global Asset Management business of Prudential, dedicated to improving financial services and making a meaningful impact. The Analyst in Investment Operations will support the Regulatory Reporting team by preparing financial reports, reconciling security positions, and ensuring compliance with accounting rules.
Asset Management
Responsibilities
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP & STAT reports, such as:
Monthly subledger to ledger proofs
Monthly Market value reconciliation
Quarterly MD&A Supplemental schedules
Quarterly cashflows for Fixed Maturities, Trading Assets, Equity at Fair Value, and Short-Term Bonds
Annual GAAP Surveys and footnote disclosures
Statutory Schedule D, DA and E along with General Interrogatories and Notes to Financials
Preparing General Ledger entries monthly for GAAP Market Value adjustments
Preparing monthly reconciliations for Asset and Income accounts
Researching issues related to accounting entries and the subledger Investment system
GAAP to STAT balance sheet reconciliation
Documenting procedures for any new reporting requirements
Completing various ad-hoc requests that are received from internal clients
Gathering information for both internal and external audits
Special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Knowledge of investment accounting and of various investments instruments
High level of self-motivation and dedication
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Client focused and results oriented work ethic
Ability to work independently and work as a member of the team
Ability to work overtime during peak periods
Preferred
Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger
Prior background / internship experience in investment management or financial services Industry is strongly preferred
