Responsibilities

Determine routing of specialized mail to over 150 or more points of distribution

Maintain accountable logs, files, and related records for USPS Accountable Mail and private sector carriers

Record and control incoming and outgoing mail as required by postal regulations

Operate a light military vehicle

Make pick-up and delivery of mail on scheduled or special runs

One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, receiving, processing, or distribution of first-class mail

Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%

Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license

Moderate to heavy lifting up to 45 pounds is required

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation

Selectees may be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption

A pre-placement medical examination may be required
