Mid LevelX-energy LLC is hiring a mid-level Plant and Process Design Engineer to join its Reactors team. This role is responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components, overseeing the implementation of System Engineering processes, and ensuring technical integration and support from initial requirements to operational state.

Responsibilities
Designing and developing mechanical systems and components
Identifying requirements
Conceptualizing system architecture and developing the layout through final design
Performing process calculations
Selecting and specifying equipment components ensuring they meet all technical specifications and program/project requirements
Overseeing the implementation of rigorous, repeatable System Engineering processes
Ensuring technical integration
Monitoring risks
Providing system-level oversight and support
Managing the entire effort to bring the system from initial requirements to a fully functional operational state in accordance with X-energy design guides and standards and sound engineering principles
Qualification
Required
Mid-level experience in Plant and Process Design Engineering
Ability to design and develop mechanical systems and components
Experience in identifying requirements and conceptualizing system architecture
Proficiency in developing layouts through final design
Capability to perform process calculations
Experience in selecting and specifying equipment components
Knowledge of technical specifications and program/project requirements
Experience in overseeing the implementation of System Engineering processes
Ability to ensure technical integration and monitor risks
Experience in providing system-level oversight and support
Ability to manage the entire effort from initial requirements to operational state
Familiarity with X-energy design guides and standards
Understanding of sound engineering principles
