Responsibilities
Prepare and modify detailed drawings, schematics, and technical illustrations for electronic and mechanical systems
Utilize AutoCAD and other computer-aided drafting tools to develop complex design layouts, assemblies, and installations
Apply digital imaging techniques to enhance design accuracy and presentation quality
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and notes to produce accurate and complete CAD models and drawings
Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design intent and technical requirements are fully represented
Maintain drawing files, version control, and documentation standards in accordance with DoD and organizational policies
Plan and prepare graphic presentations, layouts, and visual aids for reports, briefings, and technical deliverables
Ensure all drafted materials adhere to applicable technical standards, codes, and DoD drawing requirements
Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission or release
Support updates to existing drawings and documentation based on engineering changes or field modifications
Qualification
Required
Two (2) years of experience with a degree or formal training, or five (5) years of experience with a high school diploma or GED
Experience drafting and illustrating in the electronics or engineering field
Proficiency in AutoCAD and computerized drafting applications
Experience planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex systems or assemblies
Familiarity with DoD processes, documentation standards, and configuration control procedures
Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to interpret engineering data
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
