American BOA Inc. is seeking an Automotive Manufacturing Engineer to optimize the manufacturing process of exhaust assemblies and lead new product introduction initiatives. The role requires strong manufacturing principles and problem-solving skills, focusing on process development, fixture design, and project management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for exhaust assemblies, including welding and robotic automation

Analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement

Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production efficiency

Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen)

Support work instructions and process flow updates

Design and develop fixtures and gauges using SolidWorks to ensure product quality and consistency

Collaborate with Quality, Design engineering, and Maintenance departments to implement new fixtures and gauges

Conduct fixture and gauge validation testing

Develop and optimize welding processes to meet product specifications

Program and troubleshoot robotic welding systems

Collaborate with welding and robotic operators to ensure efficient and high-quality production

Work with Program Management for APQP activities for new exhaust assembly projects

Develop process FMEAs with the Manufacturing Engineering Team

Create and execute product launch plans

Support PPAP submission and approval

Manage product launch milestones and deliverables

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, including welding and robotic related problems, and implement corrective actions

Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate process defects

Provide technical support to production operators

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success

Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed

Develop and maintain quality control plans
