Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, advising the CEO, Board, and executives on compliance, ethics, and risk matters
Lead the design and execution of Vibrant’s enterprise Compliance Program, ensuring alignment with HHS and DOJ guidelines and integration into the organization’s enterprise risk framework
Oversee compliance across clinical, financial, privacy, technology, and operational domains, including HIPAA, COPPA, fraud and abuse prevention, data governance, and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)
Build and lead a high-performing Compliance Team that fosters collaboration, accountability, and organizational learning
Partner with the CFO, General Counsel, and other leaders to ensure regulatory adherence and effective risk mitigation
Develop and implement annual compliance and audit plans; monitor performance through key metrics and regular reporting to the CEO, ELT, and Board
Lead internal investigations and ensure appropriate reporting, remediation, and documentation of findings
Maintain and promote systems for confidential reporting, whistleblower protections, and ethics education across the organization
Serve as primary liaison with regulators, funders, and accreditation bodies (e.g., SAMHSA, HHS/OIG, DOHMH), ensuring audit readiness and issue resolution
Drive continuous improvement and alignment of compliance activities with Vibrant’s mission, values, and commitment to equity and inclusion

Required

15+ years of progressive experience in compliance, ethics, and/or risk management, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health organizations
5–7 years in a senior leadership or executive role leading compliance functions
Proven experience advising Boards, CEOs, and executive teams on compliance and ethics matters
Deep familiarity with accreditation and quality standards relevant to behavioral health and social services

Preferred

Experience overseeing compliance for federally funded subrecipients or grantees strongly preferred
Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field preferred
Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or equivalent credential preferred
