Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position would be typical of an experienced client facing / transaction originating investment banker including:
Originating corporate finance and advisory transactions
Research companies and industries. Cover the given universe of companies
Perform financial analysis, due diligence, management team interviews, spreadsheet modeling, etc
Prepare and produce commitment committee memos and present transactions for review and approval
Produce relative valuation comparisons that can support investment recommendations
Attend industry conferences and develop a professional network of corporate and trade contacts within your industry sector
Set up and host deal and non-deal roadshows, conference calls and headquarters visits for institutional clients with companies within your coverage universe and industry sector
Qualification
Required
Investment Banking transaction origination experience at the senior or associate level
Deep understanding of company fundamentals, accounting and corporate finance concepts
Ability to deliver clear/concise advisory services
Have an in-depth understanding of factors that affect company and industry fundamentals
Must demonstrate superior quantitative and analytical skills, and a propensity to be 'hands on' and detail oriented
Strong spreadsheet modeling skills
Series 7, 63, 79 licenses
