Quality Assurance Engineer (Not IT)
CPS Technologies Corp. is a leader in combining metals and ceramics to improve product performance and reliability. They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to generate quality inspection documentation, manage the QA lab, and engage with suppliers and customers to ensure product quality meets customer requirements.

Responsibilities
Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and PPAPs for customers
Create inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final inspections
Program and operate micro-Vu vision systems for all final inspections in the metal matrix composite department
Program Keyence IM systems for incoming and final inspections
Set daily priorities for QA/QC lab inspectors, ensuring accurate and efficient measurement methods
Oversee final inspections to meet shipping due dates and guarantee highest quality products
Train HPB visual inspectors; create work instructions and visual aids
Manage and maintain inspection software for incoming and final inspections, implementing new solutions to streamline data storage and inspection processes
Participate in regularly recurring meetings with key customers to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Work with procurement to communicate and resolve supplier and vendor quality issues
Coordinate and lead MRB (Material Review Board) meetings
Host RMA (Return Material Authorization) meetings, manage RMAs, and ensure timely response to customers
Perform root cause analysis; participate in Ishikawa, 8D, and FMEA processes
Determine inspection sampling sizes (AQL) and leverage statistical tools (JMP, Excel, 1Factory) for data visualization
Support product testing initiatives (salt atmosphere, CTE, solder dip tests, etc.)
Move materials in the M2M ERP system (e.g., scrap transactions, MRB movement)
Onboard new automated inspection equipment on the HPB manufacturing floor
Use SolidWorks to design and 3D print QA fixtures
Collaborate with the new product development team to create inspection techniques and programs for R&D and NPD stages
Work with cross-functional engineering teams to improve manufacturing yield
Participate in Internal/External/3rd Party Audits
Review customer quality flow downs and participate in sales order meetings
Attend stand-up meetings to report on QA-related matters
Apply knowledge of GD&T to review engineering drawings and ensure accurate quality assessments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within an ISO9001 manufacturing environment
Familiarity with SAP, M2M, QT9 or other ERP Systems
Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
Competence in applying fundamental quality tools (i.e., 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D)
Experience in compiling, formatting, analyzing, and presenting data
Proficiency with MS Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work safely and follow all established health, safety & environmental policies, practices, and procedures
U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus
Understanding of AS 9100 Quality Management System requirements is a plus
