Responsibilities
Advise on managing active and inactive records to ensure public access to City information in compliance with Washington State public disclosure laws
Develop and implement the Records Information Management (RIM) program, including staff training and creation of retention schedules
Ensure City-wide compliance with the Public Records Act; coordinate responses to public records requests, leads multi-department efforts, and respond to Executive Department requests
Oversee departmental technology systems, develop training materials, trains staff, and collaborate with IT to resolve technical issues
Qualification
Required
Experience with municipal government administrative support work
Experience managing public records
Experience reviewing public records requests
Experience disclosing public records
Experience in writing and training record policies and procedures
Preferred
Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC)
Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO)
