Responsibilities
Help implement the next-generation architecture and automation that manages the cloud environment for our SaaS platform
Contribute to the design and implementation of our platform's infrastructure and likely getting exposure to Linux engineering, cloud computing (AWS), Kubernetes / Docker, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
Work closely with our application teams to optimize integration between our software and infrastructure
Assist the Infrastructure team with various projects. Examples of past projects include writing Slack bots used by all developers at Arcesium, building a CI job autoscaler to optimize the performance, reliability, and cost of CI jobs, introducing new self-service capabilities into our customer-facing products, and adding new features into our secrets manager. Potential projects for this summer will focus on the intersection of infrastructure and developer experience
Qualification
Required
The ideal candidate will possess a broad grasp of theory, practice, and interest in areas such as automation, Linux, networking, security, cryptography, cloud computing, systems administration, and software development
Ability to code, along with strong thinking and communication skills, both written and verbal, is required
Technologies we use include: Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Haskell, Java, Kerberos (MIT/Windows), DNS (BIND), AWS (SQS, SNS, EC2, VPC, Route 53, EBS, S3, DynamoDB), SSH, IPSec, Ansible, NFS, Git
