Business Office Specialist

The Business Office Specialist will oversee daily activities related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and provide support to the executive team while promoting operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable: Receive, process, and enter all invoices, assigning the correct Cost Center and Spend Category for approval; review vendor statements and handle inquiries; and review invoices for possible resident charges
Accounts Receivable: Handle sensitive billing issues with residents/representatives, complete resident statement processing, and make collection attempts
Cash Management: Distribute and balance petty cash daily, balance the daily cashier log and deposits at least every five days, and submit deposit reports for posting
Miscellaneous/Reporting: Maintain monthly collection notes on AR accounts over 60 days, schedule monthly AR review calls, promote operational efficiency in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and provide information for audits

Required

Minimum of 1 year's experience in full circle accounting, accounts payable, or business office administration
General understanding of internal control procedures, accounting principles and best practices
Effective oral and written communication skills
Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, accounting software and other relevant business applications
