Supply Chain Intern (Summer 2026)
Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is seeking a Production Planning Intern to join their Operations team. This internship is designed for students graduating in 2026–2027 who want hands-on experience in supply and demand planning, work order management, and manufacturing capacity analysis within the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities
Assist with supply and demand planning deliverables to support manufacturing cells
Help generate and validate work orders using MRP processes, ensuring timely release to manufacturing
Support monitoring and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule, including identifying root causes for delays
Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering teams to track build plans, backorder status, and potential schedule interruptions
Contribute to daily stand-up meetings by providing exception-based reporting on supply variances
Assist in analyzing demand forecasts and supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
Help with inventory reallocation projects to support cost reduction strategies
Participate in continuous improvement projects and support cross-functional teams with progress tracking
Develop and maintain Excel-based tools for metrics, variance tracking, and risk assessment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Junior or senior standing in 2026 or 2027, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across functions
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited guidance
Due to contractual and regulatory requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
Preferred
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS/CPIM coursework is desirable but not required
