Senior CUAS Survivability Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead the development and enforcement of protective technology, export control, and system assurance requirements for all PdM C-UAS systems
Collaborate with the Intelligence Community (IC) to derive classified threat intelligence into actionable engineering and survivability requirements
Provide system protection and survivability guidance to OEMs and monitor implementation across system development and fielding
Ensure identification and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) during Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities and technology transfers
Drive compliance with DoD and Army Program Protection, System Assurance, and Export Control policies and best practices
Lead survivability design, modeling, and testing to ensure system resilience against kinetic, electronic warfare (EW), and directed-energy threats
Define engineering requirements for radar, missile, EW, and C2 systems to maintain performance under contested and degraded conditions
Conduct trade studies and develop system security architectures to enhance C-UAS security, resiliency, and survivability
Integrate GPS/GNSS anti-jam, anti-spoof, and resilient navigation capabilities into system designs
Develop and maintain key documentation including Program Protection Plans (PPP) and Security Classification Guides (SCG)
Oversee technical risk management, configuration control, and governance across protective technology and assurance engineering domains
Provide survivability and assurance analyses, test results, and risk mitigation strategies to senior leadership and PMO stakeholders
Support rapid prototyping and accelerated safety confirmation to enable early fielding of survivability-enhanced capabilities
Utilize Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to trace and validate survivability and system assurance requirements
Coordinate across Army Futures Command, RCCTO, AMCOM, and ASA(ALT) to align system security and survivability strategies across the enterprise

Required

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or related STEM)
8+ years of hands-on experience in System Security Engineering, Survivability Engineering, or Protective Technologies within DoD programs
Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
Deep technical expertise in: Protective technologies and CPI protection, System survivability and system assurance engineering, Cyber and EW resiliency integration, Program Protection Planning and implementation, Digital Engineering / MBSE tools and methods
Proven record leading or supporting rapid prototyping, test execution, and accelerated safety validation of field-deployable defense systems
Experience working with Intelligence Community, PEO MS, AMCOM, and FMS processes
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with demonstrated success working across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs)

Preferred

Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
Prior experience supporting Army C-UAS, Air and Missile Defense, or EW programs
Working knowledge of Army and DoD protection frameworks (e.g., DoDI 5200.39, DoDI 8510.01, MIL-STD-882)
Experience with Live Fire Test & Evaluation (LFT&E) and Operational Test (OT) events
Demonstrated ability to brief senior military and civilian leadership on complex survivability and security topics
