Senior Systems Engineer
KNAPP North America is a global leader in providing intelligent solutions for digitizing and automating logistics processes. The Senior Systems Engineer will work closely with Systems Engineering, Sales, and clients to develop innovative intralogistics solutions that meet financial and functional criteria while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Analyze customer needs to develop a feasible distribution /warehousing solution
Estimate system cost
Complete assigned projects in a timely manner
Read all project related materials needed for assignment
Comply with throughput requirements
Generate system calculations
Create CAD drawings, preferably in VectorWorks
Establish possible alternatives for design
Attend meetings and write meeting minutes
Provide guidance and mentorship to the Junior Systems Engineers as well as general support to the rest of the team
Support other departments like Sales, Customer Service, and R&D
Communicate with customers and 3 rd party vendors
Use transmittals for all correspondence
Comply with filing rules
Maintain and update project folders
Improve organization and administration processes
Other duties, as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales, Solutions, or Systems Design Engineering
Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, and high level of competence in managing spreadsheet analysis
Knowledge of warehousing/distribution logistics concepts and layout - able to decipher and understand
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Drawing/design software (Autocad, Vectorworks, Solidworks, etc)
Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of high technology solutions/systems, familiar with market technologies, Detailed oriented
Authorization to work in the U.S
Passport or ability to obtain a passport
Professional office etiquette is required at all times
Physical requirements may include: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm's length, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Preferred
R Studio is a plus but not required
Proficiency in German is plus but not required
