Intern - Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (On-Site)
Holland, L.P. is seeking an Intern in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering to assist in product improvements and technical development. The role involves designing test plans, analyzing results, and generating innovative ideas for track repair products and services.

Responsibilities
Develop product improvements via weld program, equipment, process, procedure and training improvements
Design, build and execute test plans and then analyze and report findings to internal teams
Develop technical expertise in metallurgical aspects of rail welds, weld technology, Non-Destructive Testing methods including ultrasonic testing
Generate innovative ideas for new track repair products and services
Create technical reports based on customer needs to convey findings
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
Pursuing a BS/MS in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
Ability to maintain confidentiality with dealing with personal and protected information
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi task and prioritize your work flow
Passion for innovation and building systems from the ground up
Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point
Efficient at communicating both written and verbal
Must be willing to take and pass all mandatory pre-employment testing
Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license along with an e-Rail Safe badge and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
