Assistant Professor - Marketing
UMass Boston is an urban public research university seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship within the Marketing Department, starting September 1, 2026. Responsibilities
Teaching: Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in new product development including AI products and services, marketing, and entrepreneurship, across both on-campus and online modalities. The ideal candidate will be eager to engage in experiential learning, with interests in developing and nurturing entrepreneurial student startups
Research: Develop and maintain a strong research agenda with the potential for publication in leading peer-reviewed journals in innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, or related fields
Service: Contribute to the College, University, profession, and community through service roles such as mentoring students, collaborating across disciplines, and serving on committees for enrollment, recruiting, and program development
Professional Engagement: Show a clear trajectory of ongoing scholarly productivity, participation in conferences, peer-review activities, and broader contributions to the academic community
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have completed, or be in the final stages of completing, a doctoral degree in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or a closely related field by the date of appointment
ABD candidates who will complete their doctorate by August 31, 2026, will be considered
