Responsibilities

Sell products and services to customers primarily via telephone and Internet, acting as the main point of contact post-sale. Focus on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth according to a quota. Close sales within defined geographic areas, industries, or product/service groups, and achieve organizational quotas
Seek methods to develop new accounts, referrals, and generate new business from existing accounts. Guide lower staff in these efforts. Utilize external contacts to maintain relationships with accounts through ongoing client contact, follow-up, and support. Anticipate customer needs and communicate transaction information effectively
Stay ahead of organizational products in the chosen scientific area, providing recommendations to customers based on their needs and promptly responding to inquiries. Execute sales strategies, generate sales reports, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met. Ensure administrative tasks are accurately entered in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database

Required

Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years' experience, including 0-2 years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience
Strong scientific background with sales, marketing, and business skills
Strategic thinking, business instincts, creativity, and sound judgment
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, consensus-building, and influencing skills
Familiarity with sales concepts, practices, and procedures
Proactive and assertive in achieving goals
Strategic problem-solving and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication skills across various disciplines
Strong planning, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Ability to shift priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated team player with attention to detail

Preferred

Knowledge of relevant research areas such as cell biology, microbial products and advanced models
Knowledge of molecular assays and pre-clinical biopharmaceutical development
