Deployed CAS Practitioner (Contractor Assurance Analyst/Specialist)

SIMCO, LLC is managing the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Deployed CAS Practitioner (Contractor Assurance Analyst/Specialist). The role involves supporting the Contractor Assurance Department by identifying and resolving undesirable outcomes in work execution, facilitating assessments, and providing coaching to line organization staff regarding the implementation of Contractor Assurance System processes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate issues management corrective action planning, implementation, and closure
Lead and participate in event investigations
Lead and participate in causal analyses
Facilitate Observation performance and Focus Area identification
Facilitate assessment schedule development, maintenance, and implementation, and plan, lead, and participate on assessments
Facilitate development and maintenance of performance indicators, including data analysis
Coordinate requirements impact assessments and trace development, review, and maintenance
Coordinate generation and use of lessons learned
Identify cognitive trends of issues and assist in trend analysis
Provide coaching/mentoring to line organization staff regarding implementation of CAS processes, procedures, and tools

Required

Bachelor's degree, or
Associate's degree with four (4) years of relevant experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of relevant experience is required
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat)
Must be at least 18 years of age
U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances

Preferred

Nuclear or high-hazard facility experience
Experience with Contractor Assurance related programs/processes
Experience training, coaching, or mentoring
Familiarity with DOE Directives, Standards, and Guides
Familiarity with the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant
