Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop and specify product functional requirements and testing strategies according to user needs, internal and external standards and regulatory requirements for electrical systems in medical devices
Design, test and integrate components and sub-assemblies to produce the overall final product design
Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements
Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the development team in a fast-paced team environment
Collaborate with contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability
Achieve relevant performance, time-to-market objectives, and product and project cost targets, all while achieving product quality goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
Experience with PCB and PCBA Development
Altium knowledge is required
Proficient in C / C++ for embedded systems
Experience developing medical devices and familiar with V&V testing and 510K submission activities. Knowledge of QMS is a plus
Demonstrated problem solving and decision analysis skills
Working knowledge of 3D modelling software, preferably SolidWorks
Experience in EMC and safety testing for IEC60601 compliance
Experience operating in a cross-functional, multi-site development environment
Must be detail oriented with strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Must have the ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Hands on experience with test equipment (soldering, oscilloscopes, data acquisition, logging and analyzing)
Must possess high attention to detail
Must be adaptable and have excellent decision-making skills
Develop technical specifications and identify test requirements for products
Preferred
B.S. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
5+ years of medical device industry experience in designing, developing, integrating and testing embedded and/or electrical systems from concept to production, including but not limited to microprocessors, FW development, PCB and PCBA development, selection of power distribution units, UPS systems, cable connectors, video and audio interfaces, harness design and communication protocols
