7+ years expWSP USA Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for the inspection of water distribution systems and treatment facilities. The candidate will serve as a Construction Inspector to support the Construction management and Inspection services related to Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes and maintain up-to-date project records
Review Contractor submittals, requests for information, change order requests, and as-built drawings
Measure and record pay items
Attend job progress meeting
Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to Owner
Work closely with others team members, along with personnel from utilities, state, local, and federal agencies
Demonstrate independent and effective problem solving/decision making
Qualification
Required
Minimum 7 years' experience in Water/Wastewater/Stormwater pumping stations & treatment plants
Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of facilities projects
High School Diploma
Must possess knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, and other miscellaneous construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies, including and construction safety
Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
