The role focuses on delivering and achieving the organization's patient experience and caregiver investment goals through the design and implementation of educational programs and best practice improvement strategies.

Responsibilities

Serves as a critical partner in the successful achievement of the Talent and Culture Development Strategy. Responsible for maintaining current industry knowledge regarding adult learning, patient and caregiver experience, insights and best practices
Creates, facilitates and delivers PeaceHealth Orientation for all new caregivers, physicians and clinicians joining PeaceHealth. This requires working closely with subject matter experts for consistent branding, engaging delivery and the creation of a Mission based warm welcome. Will require travel to communities outside of Shared Services
Develops program content and training curriculum. Delivers engaging, interactive and effective training to adult learner for a variety of caregiver and professional offerings in topics such as leadership, communication, change, conflict, team building, etc
Designs, creates and delivers PeaceHealth Leadership in Healthcare program – a substantial leadership investment program for all new leaders. Requires working closely with colleagues and subject matter experts
Plays a key role in ensuring the new leadership for PeaceHealth are equipped with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to lead their teams successfully, providing a safe culture and environment to excel in patient care
Mentors subject matter experts, presenters and other learning professionals to improve knowledge and skills. Provides structured learning experiences for face-to-face, virtual, hybrid and blended classrooms or e-learning modules. Creates impactful, experiential learning experiences for effective knowledge transfer
Acquires, understands and leverages Patient Experience and Caregiver/Physician Engagement performance data, analytics and metrics to drive sound recommendations, decisions, and solutions
Actively supports implementation of best practice patient experience improvement efforts in communities and teams across the system. Serves as a positive Talent and Culture Development representative in this work, positively communicating, supporting and propelling One PeaceHealth
Collaborates with colleagues and subject matter experts in areas such as Human Resources, Mission, Quality, Analytics, Clinical Excellence and learning functions to ensure that services are exceptional, and policies are aligned with the organization's values and mission
Reliably engages at all levels of the organization, with a positive attitude and inspirational drive, is fundamental of this position. This role will be integral to supporting a safe and positive culture in the office, ambulatory and hospital setting, bringing knowledge and skills to help improve the experience of our caregivers and patients

Required

Bachelor's Degree required: Behavioral Health Sciences, Human Resources, Patient Relations, Education, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Business or related discipline required or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
Minimum of 5 years required: Caregiver development, patient experience, organizational design, healthcare quality improvement, and/or risk management experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
Required: Work related experience with demonstrated ability to drive results in patient experience or customer relations excellence and caregiver engagement
Demonstrated ability to be a positive and inspirational agent for change, while supporting the enhancement of One PeaceHealth, our PeaceHealth brand, people, and culture
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in Patient and Caregiver Experience
Experience developing and leading programs and projects with demonstrated success outcomes
Knowledgeable and able to apply contemporary best practices in adult learning tools, approaches, improvement models, employee engagement, and culture transformation
Working knowledge of and experience with continuous process improvement methodologies and tools such as PDSA/PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma, etc
Demonstrated ability of influencing senior leaders, delivering practical solutions, and driving implementation and change
Subject matter expertise in organizational development methodologies including organizational and process design
Knowledge of organizational and team dynamics and methods to support continued improvement in these areas
Ability to develop and present concise information
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Ability to work with teams positively, respectfully, and successfully in a variety of settings

Preferred

Master's Degree or advanced training preferred
Preferred: Experience in a healthcare setting; preferably hospital, clinic, or health system related
