Responsibilities
Provides accurate, thorough, and understandable information regarding non-deposit investment products to customers. Analyzes and evaluates client portfolios. Recommends investment products appropriate for customers' stated objectives
Develops and maintains ongoing investment relationships with customers. Conducts on-going client meetings, including financial plan and investment reviews. Follows up on referrals generated from various sources including other Bank employees, advertisements, and direct mailings
Initiates investment transactions based on customers' instructions, prepare all necessary documentation ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Assists customers in resolving any investment transaction discrepancies or concerns regarding the Bank's non-deposit investment sales program. Reports all customer issues to senior management in a timely manner
Meets established sales goals and objectives. Develops sales strategic plan including both direct sales and referral activities. Leads sales strategy and planning efforts and creates sales and promotional efforts in order to reach performance goals. Strategizes with Senior Vice President of Retail to assess market position and competition opportunities. Monitors plan to ensure completion of goals and objectives
Actively participates as a Banking Center team member. Works with other members of the team to meet performance goals, develops strategies and promotional efforts for the Center. Maintains a general understanding of all products and services offered in the Banking Center in an effort to effectively present these products and services to customers. Monitors team progress towards attaining goals and objectives
Oversees function of Financial Services Assistant. Conducts performance evaluation, provides guidance, training and development as needed
Keeps abreast of laws, regulations, and industry developments applicable to non-deposit investment products through ongoing education and training. Reports on changes and developments having potential impact on the Bank's non-deposit investment program, and recommends appropriate actions
Keeps abreast of competitive developments applicable to non-deposit investment products within the industry and the Bank's market area, and report on findings. Participates in marketing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the Bank's non-deposit investment program
Participates in the development of employee training programs and customer information sessions for non-deposit investment products. As needed, conducts training programs and information sessions, monitor and report on effectiveness. Recommends employee recognition programs for referral efforts
Develops solid relationships with members of the community by networking through community involvement. Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development in the community, and a positive image for the Bank
Provides periodic reports on non-deposit investment sales/advisory activity, including customer prospects, sales, referrals, sources of invested funds, and the effectiveness of marketing promotions
Performs operational audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and for compliance with laws and regulations in preparation for audits and regulatory exams
Keeps abreast of Bank policies and procedures, deposit products and services. Maintains knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulatory requirements. Ensures that management and staff members complete BSA related annual training in a timely manner and that all BSA procedures are followed when applicable. Identifies and reports compliance related issues and suspicious activity

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent through specialized coursework and training
NASD series 7 and 65 or 66 licenses
Massachusetts Life and Health Insurance licenses
Minimum 3 years investment sales/advisory experience
Proven sales, marketing, and investment advisory skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
Certified Financial Planner designation
