Rohde & Schwarz provides extensive after-sales support and training to customers in North America. They are seeking an Application Engineer to support their test and measurement product portfolio, providing pre/post-sales support, technical assistance, and customer training.

Responsibilities

Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
Technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments
Support and consulting of customer test plan implementation and development
Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes and professional articles
Provide technical feedback to product line

Qualification

RFMicrowave experienceTest equipment proficiencyDigital communications testingProgramming C/C++Programming PythonCustomer interface skillsCustomer facing experienceCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

BSEE (or equivalent) with at least 5 years experience in RF or Microwave test and/or design
Experience working with test equipment including Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators and Vector Network Analyzers
Experience in testing digital communications systems and components
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to travel up to 35% within the region and occasional international travel
US Citizenship is required

Preferred

MSEE preferred
Previous experience with R&S and competitor test equipment is a plus
Customer facing and sales environment experience
Programming experience (C/C++, Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, LabVIEW, etc) a plus
