The Component Design Intern will provide technical support for the design and analysis of reactor components, working closely with component leads and other engineering teams throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

Perform analytical calculations and evaluations of reactor components using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses

Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes design specifications, test specifications and compliance matrices

Skills using Software Packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, ANSYS or equivalent and

Work with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments

Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements

Evaluate standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications
