Support the rearing of blow flies for research purposes
Supervising temporary lab assistants
Maintenance of the essential lab blow fly stocks
Performing genetic crosses as needed to maintain lines
Work with senior lab personnel
Insure that all safety regulations are met
Update the lab safety manual as needed
Coordinate provision of materials (supplies and fly lines) for students and postdocs
Supervise undergraduates
Qualification
Required
Relevant Master's degree or Relevant Bachelor's and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or relevant independent experience and education
Experience with maintenance of the essential lab blow fly stocks, performing genetic crosses as needed to maintain lines and work with senior lab personnel
Ability to supervise undergraduates
Valid driver's license
