The Service Technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance of rotating equipment, including pumps and gear boxes, both in the repair facility and at customer sites.

Responsibilities

Completes initial inspection and required paperwork for all items to be repaired or serviced

Disassembles equipment while marking items and documenting current condition

Sand blasts and paints items as required

Helps identify items needed for repair

Measure all required parts for inspection reports

Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make measurements

Assembles equipment per manufacturer specifications verifying acceptable tolerances are achieved

Assists customers with tasks related to current equipment including pump removal, pump install, shaft alignment, vibration analysis, lube maintenance, and others

Maintains and completes required paperwork and time sheet

Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations

Cleans up shop and performs other duties as assigned
