The Controls Technician Co-op position is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the industrial controls field, allowing them to work directly with plant control systems and support the plant’s instrumentation and electrical teams.

Responsibilities
Assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant electrical and controls equipment
Support the installation and demolition of electrical systems throughout the plant
Assist with maintaining and updating plant systems, including logic and PLC programs
Manage and document system software changes, ensuring all affected employees are informed of updates
Adheres to safety standards and regulations, keeping equipment in an electrically safe condition
Participate in the installation of new improvement projects across the plant
Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a high school technical program, with coursework or hands-on experience in industrial technology, electrical systems, or automation
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, work at heights, and be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer-sponsored visa (work permit)
