Responsibilities

Conduct research, design and build experimental test set-ups
Perform data analysis and present results to a multidisciplinary team
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and CAD designers for prototype and pilot detailed design
Coordinate with machine shops or other suppliers to manufacture and procure custom hardware
Interact closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve product and quality issues
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material Science Engineering, with a minimum of two years of coursework completed
Knowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools like Microsoft office suites. Especially, deep data analysis using excel and its macros
Experienced in processing and visualizing large data sets
Demonstrated ability to execute designs from concept through to hands-on testing and build
Strong knowledge of instrumentation, statistics, chemistry, and physics
Ability to observe and respond to people and situations, and interact effectively with others
Capacity to learn and apply new information or skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting data, information, and documents
Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in completing assignments
Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads
Result-driven, demonstrating ownership and accountability
Ability to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements
Capability to work independently or as part of a team, and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and professionally

Adherence to strict procedures within provided timelines
Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work
