Responsibilities

Responsible for budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for a Fulfillment Center
Responsible for all aspects of operation or functions at the site
Manage and lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach and mentor the team to ensure performance objectives are met, and build positive employee relations and leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center
Use Lean and Six Sigma Process Improvement methodologies and performance metrics to increase efficiency within processes
Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable functional area and the Fulfillment Center to meet and exceed business plan
Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. Participate in the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations
Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Area Managers
Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Area Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments
Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives
Ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network
Approximately 15% domestic travel required

Required

A Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered, management consulting, technical management, or logistics engineering
In the alternative, a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, management consulting, technical management, or logistics engineering
2 years of management experience (salaried workforce or program management) in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations
2 years of experience using Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma methodologies or related performance metrics/process improvements to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics
1 year of cross-functional coordination experience across different business units and experience conducting qualitative/quantitative data analysis to support business decision making and cross functional initiatives
