Sample Management Technician

Responsibilities

Receive incoming histology materials and purchased products
Coordinate block, slide, tissue and necropsy set up shipments, including courier deliveries
Prepare blocks, slides and tissues for onsite archive
Unpack and examine histology samples/materials received, verify against packing slips, complete inventories/logs as necessary and place in established locations
Maintain Histology chemical/reagent/test article receipt logs
Label Histology supplies and maintain inventories
Package materials and label boxes as required
Maintain stock reagents, chemicals and materials
Manage hazardous waste and central accumulation area
Follow all company safety requirements
Enter data into databases
Follow SOPs and other applicable laboratory or company procedures
Maintain confidential information

Qualification

Histology experienceGLP experienceMicrosoft OfficeOrganizedMultitaskingCommunication skills

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Lab and GLP experience preferred
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Organized
Able to multitask
Able to communicate with management, co-workers and other teams
Follow all company safety requirements
Enter data into databases
Follow SOPs and other applicable laboratory or company procedures
Maintain confidential information
