Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K-12. They are seeking a High School Math Teacher who will create a supportive classroom environment, foster student growth in mathematics, and engage in professional development while mentoring students.

Responsibilities

Create a classroom environment that fosters students’ awareness and appreciation of advanced mathematics
Build strong relationships with students to encourage their academic and personal growth
Guide students through the process of discovering math principles for themselves
Engage in regular data meetings and participate in approximately 20 administrative observations
Participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year
Teach multiple sections of math each day and serve as an advisor to students
Mentor students, communicate with families, and share information about colleges and character education
Lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend

Qualification

High-level mathematicsAP Calculus ABClassroom culture buildingAnti-racist practicesCollaboration

Required

You've earned a Bachelor's degree
Deep content knowledge of high-level mathematics up to and including AP Calculus AB
Commitment to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias
At least 2 years as a lead teacher
Ability to build a joyful classroom culture with high behavioral and academic expectations
Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
Able to start in July of 2026

Benefits

$3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.
