They are seeking a Civil/Structural Substation Engineer to join their ICE Team, responsible for the structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Responsible for structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations

Prepare and review calculations following industry standard methods and principles

Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers

Assist in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards

Perform detailed quality reviews of project deliverables

Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings

Attend site visits as required

Promote sales

Review scope, budget and schedule for project tasks

Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations

Maintain excellent client relations

Maintain a safe working environment

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

5-10 years of civil/structural experience with high voltage substation design

Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor

Strong knowledge of utility standards, AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC, and an understanding of construction techniques

Candidate must be willing to travel

Self-motivated

Work well with others

Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with STAAD, MathCAD, LPILE, RISA or equivalent engineering software
