Responsibilities
Acquire, clean, and analyze large data sets
Conduct exploratory analysis to understand data and project requirements
Work with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop and implement advanced analytics projects
Track the consumer conversion funnel from start to end
Provide, interpret, and predict necessary metrics for decision-making
Code with machine learning tools like Python, R, and Scala
Synthesize millions of data sets into patterns that answer ad hoc requests
Use Tableau for data visualization
Identify errors and reactively fix them
Coach and mentor junior data scientists
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent
Experience in acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing large data sets
Experience in exploratory analysis to understand data and project requirements
Ability to identify errors and reactively fix them
Formal education in quantitative analytics
Knowledge of design patterns and data structures
Skills to create new models using machine learning tools like Python, R, and Scala
Ability to coach and mentor junior data scientists
Experience in formulating analytical problems, extracting and analyzing data from multiple systems, summarizing critical findings/insights, and developing visual representations of analyses with actionable recommendations
Ability to identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytical projects
Passion for learning and applying new techniques within data science
Comfort and skill in presenting to both peers and leadership
Preferred
Prior experience in Java, C++, SQL, distributed computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark; Oracle, Mongo; data visualization tools like Tableau
