Shipping & Receiving Specialist

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for processing all inbound and outbound shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

Processes all inbound and outbound shipments
Pack and label product based upon established standards
Ensures the proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are shipped with the correct order
Prepare shipping documentation, including Bill of Ladings and Commercial Invoices
Schedule multimodal transport with freight providers as required
Process all receiving transactions into ERP system
Track and report all receiving discrepancies
Assists in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in shipping and receiving areas
Complies with safety and environmental procedures and all applicable codes and regulations of governmental agencies
Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or related field
Minimum of 3+ years of experience with ERP systems
Forklift experience required
Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications including Excel
Possess and maintain a citation-free driving record, demonstrating responsible and safe driving practices; this will be verified through a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) review and is required to be upheld throughout employment
U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations

Preferred

Experience and/or training in hazardous goods transportation
Understanding of Department of Transportation regulations and permits
Understanding of IATA guidelines
Experience with international shipping
Experience with shipping portals such as UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Ship Manager
