Responsibilities

Author a wide variety of Maintenance, Flight, Part, and Operator manuals under US DoD and commercial specifications (MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051/MIL-STD2361, ATA 100/iSpec2200, S1000D). Author flight checklists for pilots and operators

Develop content from Engineering assembly, installation, and component drawings and data

Author in structured/unstructured FrameMaker environments for Air Force, Army, or Navy programs

Author publications using S1000D tools for digital display

Help perform peer reviews of technical publication content

Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to distill information for complex software driven hardware and avionics, and then distill information into concise, well-written step-by-step procedures, narrative explanations, and other technical publication content

Technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments (Structured FrameMaker/Arbor text/S1000D & XML authoring tools) and unstructured authoring environments (Unstructured FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, etc.)

Consider cost, quality, and schedule factors and use that information to develop and author publications that adhere to cost, quality, and schedule requirements

Work well with colleagues, internal customers, and external customers

Strong computer skills with solid understanding of MS Office Suite and applications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI Clearance
