VP, Digital Business Development Leader

Responsibilities

P&L Accountability: demonstrate a proven ability to manage an insurance P&L and a track record of consistent profitable growth
Partnership Management: Existing experience with digital and alternative distribution insurance partners as well as a building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and their executive stakeholders
Insurance Distribution Technology: Deep knowledge, and experience utilizing various insurance distribution technologies and G2M motions including agent portals, APIs, multi-carrier platforms, embedded iFrame/native UX, and lead gen/call center models
Channel and Partner Strategy: experience with identifying strategic direction and setting plans for execution both with individual partners and entire distribution channels
Innovation: A deep sense of the evolving SME insurance landscape, while keeping a pulse on emerging players, opportunities, and trends to deliver new and creative solutions for Hiscox
Sales Leadership: Extensive and proven sales leadership, building and setting best in class sale activities and practices, coaching a team of business development professionals, and fostering a culture that drives results
People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Actively coach and develop sales acumen of the business development managers. Implement operating routines and best practices that drive consistency and accountability across the business development function

Required

Minimum bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication skills to help influence both internal and external key stakeholders in driving strategic growth
Knowledge of insurance distribution operations, regulations, and overall carrier/agency market dynamics
Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in a sales leadership role
Ability to travel 30% of the time
