Responsibilities

Develop applications, services, and components for specific products. Tasks include design, develop, test, validate security and policy compliance, debug, document, deploy, and maintain in compliance with the ISO/IEC 15288 System Lifecycle processes

Generate and maintain technical documentation for each service and solution developed, to support development and outreach activities

Conform to all Section 508 requirements in the processes of developing, procuring, and maintaining electronic and information technology products and systems

Manipulate extremely large data sets, and data queries for existing or proposed databases

Provide requirement analysis and synthesis from system to component level

Working with Real Time Systems and Business Management Information Systems

Resolve system issues and problem reports, modifying existing requirements and designs to work with new hardware and software and or improve its performance

Assess design and implementation tradeoffs between solutions ranging from hardware vs software solution approaches, and new hardware and software development vs COTS/GOTS options

Provide inputs as a team member to help address functional areas in analytics, knowledge management, information access/management and cyber/threat (malware) analysis

Design, implement, and test complex algorithms requiring strict timing, following the software development, configuration management, testing, and validation processes, and ensure quality is built into the product

Utilize scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict performance and consequences of a design

Oversee/lead one or more development teams to ensure work is completed per the requirements and process of each particular project

Generate designs in coordination with an IPT to address the performance and cyber requirements of each particular project

Assist in developing and executing test procedures

Maintain Configuration Management of the appropriate data and relevant materials

Required

Bachelor of Science in System Engineering and or a STEM degree, with 10+ years of direct experience in a similar role (willing to consider a combination of education and years of directly related experience)

An active TS/SCI with a full Poly

Solid knowledge and experience of System Life Cycle processes (ISO/IEC 15288), from concept to sunset

Experience and proficiency in managing technical aspects of a project, including Risk Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management (ICDs), and Technical Data Management

Experienced working in an Agile or iterative development approach

Experience in executing and leading a team in analyzing complex problems, evaluating alternative solutions, and methodically generating options and a proposed solution

Experience leading efforts of working requirements with customers and leading the development of system life cycle solution that satisfies those requirements (including ISO/ISC 15288) and providing a solution for them

Experience working effectively in a cross functional team environment, developing solutions to customer/system requirements and addressing performance issues of an existing system

Experience developing and leading test approaches for validating system requirements

Experience leading multiple teams of engineers in a development and validation effort for a deliverable system solution
