Responsibilities
Handle single-plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, and reasonable accommodation claims
Manage and advise on PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) cases
Participate in class action litigation as needed
Draft, review, and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests
Prepare, argue, and respond to motions, including dispositive and discovery motions
Take and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs and corporate witnesses
Provide employment law counseling on federal and state regulations, policies, and best practices
Manage cases independently, from start to finish, with minimal supervision
Maintain and develop client relationships; a smaller portable book of business is advantageous but not required
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in the relevant state bar
9-12 years of experience in employment law, with substantial litigation and counseling exposure
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with an excellent academic record
Proven ability to handle complex cases independently
Preferred
A smaller portable book of business is advantageous but not required
