Associate Water Resource Engineer
NV5 is a leading provider of tech-enabled engineering solutions, and they are seeking a mid-level water resources engineer to join their municipal services team. The role involves supporting drainage design and review tasks for various projects in Southern California.

Responsibilities
Preparation of drainage studies, hydromodification analysis, detention basin analysis, and assisting in preparation of design plans for civil engineering projects
Performing third-party reviews of other consultants' drainage and water quality reports, and SWPPPs
Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using programs such as AES, CivilDesign, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WSPG, and StormCAD
Preparation of letter proposals, attending client meetings, and assisting the team with business development opportunities
Preparation of FEMA Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs/LOMRs)
Preparation/Review of Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMPs)
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation/review
Qualification
Required
Possess a Bachelor's or higher Degree in Civil Engineering
PE license in California
3+ years preparing Drainage Reports in Southern California
Applicant must have a strong knowledge of both County and City of San Diego hydrologic and hydraulic requirements for development projects and understand the current hydromodification requirements under the current County of San Diego MS4 permit
Experienced in Rational Method calculation and basin routing calculations
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, HEC programs, PondPack, and SWMM
Preferred
Floodplain Manager Certification by ASFPM
