Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Legacy Insurance Partners, which includes Childress Insurance, is dedicated to providing top-tier insurance solutions. The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for leading the service, strategy, and retention of the agency's largest and most complex commercial accounts, ensuring exceptional client experiences and managing sophisticated client needs.
Responsibilities
Serve as the lead day‑to‑day contact for assigned top-tier commercial clients
Develop deep understanding of client operations, exposures, contracts, and industry risks
Conduct proactive stewardship meetings, mid-term check‑ins, and annual strategy planning
Deliver a consistently high‑touch client experience with exceptional responsiveness and professionalism
Analyze exposures and develop tailored coverage recommendations
Review policies, endorsements, audits, and contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Provide clear, confident explanations of coverages and options for executives, risk managers, and client stakeholders
Lead renewal strategy, including program design, marketing submissions, and carrier negotiations
Coordinate with underwriters to secure optimal terms, pricing, and risk‑management solutions
Prepare proposals, comparisons, and executive‑level summaries for client presentation
Oversee certificates, endorsements, policy changes, evidence of insurance, and premium invoicing
Coordinate loss control visits, claims advocacy, and carrier service resources as needed
Maintain clean, accurate documentation within the AMS in accordance with E&O best practices
Mentor and support junior account managers or CSRs as needed
Work closely with producers and leadership to ensure seamless service and exceptional client retention
Participate in internal process‑improvement efforts when relevant to the commercial service team
Qualification
Required
7+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience in an agency or brokerage
Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-line or middle-market accounts
Advanced knowledge of commercial coverages including GL, Property, Auto, WC, Umbrella, Cyber, and industry-specific endorsements
Strong understanding of underwriting, rating, and carrier appetites
Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and client-facing presentation
Ability to manage high volumes of detail without sacrificing quality or accuracy
Proficiency with AMS platforms (Salesforce/Veruna preferred) and Microsoft 365
Preferred
Professional designations: CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, CWCA, or progress toward one
Experience handling accounts in industries such as construction, manufacturing, professional services, or real estate
