The role involves performing various inspections to ensure the products meet quality standards and specifications, as well as maintaining inspection reports and communicating with the Quality Control Manager.

Responsibilities
Dimensional Inspection to verify the product matches the sales drawing. This inspection would include but not limited to the following
Diameter, Overall Length, Nozzle Projection, Nozzle Orientation, Test Ports, Couplings, Drains, Etc
Weld Inspection to verify all welding meets or exceeds the weld details on the fabrication drawings. This inspection would include but not limited to
Weld Profile, Weld Size, Weld Length, Porosity, Cracks, Undercut, Inclusions, Excessive Spatter, Etc
Visual Inspection to verify that the finished product meets the overall standards of MIRATECH. This inspection would include but not limited to the following
Paint Defects, Deformation, Defects, Tagging, Labeling, Etc
Labeling / Tagging - verify that all the products all labeled, marked, or tagged with the correct job number and stock code
Maintain job travelers in job packets, inspection reports, test and quality checks
Report any defects, issues, or non-conformities to the Quality Control Manager
Assist with 3rd Party Inspections that are coordinated through the Quality Control Manager
Inspect raw materials in the Non-Conformance Department to verify the following match the Material Traceability Report (MTR) provided by the vendor
Thickness, Specification, Grade, Heat Number, Slab Number, Etc
Calibrate inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Ensure that all safety standards are adhered to during inspections and testing
Communicates with other QC Inspectors and takes ownership and initiative
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Blueprint interpretation
Using measuring tools such as tape measure, micrometer, level, fillet weld gauges, etc
Experience with steel fabrication and welding
Experience with quality related procedures and processes
Communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with quality control manager, production supervisor, direct laborers, and cross-functional teams
Preferred
English and Spanish speaker
