The Associate Data Analyst will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and efficient data solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that transform large volumes of raw data into actionable insights

Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Optimize and improve the performance of existing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and workflows

Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency by applying validation and cleansing techniques

Implement best-practices for data governance, security, and privacy, adhering to industry standards

Create and maintain extensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and architecture

Partner with data scientists to enable advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives

Leverage cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to build and deploy data solutions

Monitor and troubleshoot performance and data quality issues within the data systems, resolving performance issues or bottlenecks

Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to ensure Apex remains competitive in a rapidly evolving fintech landscape

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent work experience) required

1+ year of work experience applying solutions with programming languages preferred

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go

Proficiency with SQL and relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering scalable solutions

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred

Experience in the fintech industry and knowledge of financial systems or trading platforms preferred

Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating third-party data sources preferred

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and services like BigQuery, S3, Redshift, or Snowflake

Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and database optimization techniques

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
