The Mechanical Design Engineer I will be responsible for designing high-voltage cable accessories to meet customer specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support various projects.

Responsibilities
Design to order per customer provided specification within a team environment
Provide design competency to industry standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC, ANSI, UL, NEMA, etc.)
Design products to internal engineering design standards and best practices within customer lead time and quality expectations
Coach, maintain and assist technical aptitude among design team members
Be a change agent in department and company by identifying and resolving root causes through problem solving activities
Provide technical support for internal and external customers
Collaborate cross-functionally to support and provide technical aptitude for company and departmental projects as needed (e.g. Product Development, Aftermarket Support, Application Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing)
Qualification
Required
Holds a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Relevant Discipline
Has CAD Experience
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and has demonstrated presentation skills to diverse audiences
Has strong analytical design and quantitative problem-solving skills
Preferred
CREO CAD Software experience
Experience with Protection relays
Experience with Programming Languages
Leadership and Training
Change Management experience
Continuous improvement initiatives
Root Cause Analysis / Problem-Solving strategies
ISO Certified Manufacturing Environment experience
Reliability Design Tools
Design For Manufacturability (DFM)
