Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data architecture using Databricks on cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
Build and maintain ETL pipelines integrating data from Yardi, Argus, CRM, and external market data sources
Partner with data scientists and analysts to operationalize machine learning and LLM-based workflows
Develop robust data models supporting financial, operational, and asset performance reporting
Implement strong data governance, quality, and lineage practices across all data assets
Drive efforts to modernize our data stack, enabling real-time data access and self-service analytics
Collaborate cross-functionally with property operations, finance, and investment teams to unlock new AI-driven capabilities
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of experience as a data engineer in data-intensive environments
Proven experience with Databricks and building ETL/ELT data pipelines in a production setting
Expertise in Python, SQL, and PySpark; familiarity with MLflow or Delta Lake preferred
Strong understanding of data lakehouse architectures and cloud-native data services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Experience integrating APIs and real estate data platforms (e.g., Yardi, Argus)
Comfortable collaborating with AI/ML engineers to deploy models into production workflows
Ability to balance innovation with execution, scaling prototype pipelines into enterprise-grade solutions
Preferred
Experience building data platforms supporting LLMs or generative AI use cases
Familiarity with modern data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
Knowledge of APIs, data standards, and metadata management frameworks
Background in real estate, proptech, or asset management analytics preferred
