Responsibilities
Draft, propound, and respond to discovery requests (preferably in personal injury cases)
Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial and exhibit binders
Calendar deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Draft motions, oppositions, replies, and other legal documents
Manage case files, correspondence, and communications with opposing counsel
Upload, organize, and maintain case materials in Filevine
Provide support to attorneys during all phases of litigation, including trial prep
Assist in training and supporting junior assistants, as needed
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of experience handling discovery in employment law or personal injury
Strong understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Paralegal certificate
Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management software
