Responsibilities

Conducts daily reviews and manages clerical entries associated with production and inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all related documentation
Reconciles invoices by applying correct general ledger (G/L) codes and cost centers. Enters invoice data into the ERP system for processing, maintaining strict adherence to company protocols
Assists with daily and monthly financial transactions related to accounts payable. This includes processing vendor invoices, projecting accruals, and researching invoice issues. Ensures all transactions comply with Saputo’s accounting policies and procedures
Prepare and analyze daily expenses. Execute system reports for plant wide distribution
Coordinates and communicates effectively with plant departments to identify and address anomalies in spending. Assists the Finance Administration Manager with making appropriate accruals at the end of each period and provides weekly updates as required
Scans invoices and all supporting documents to ensure proper processing and record-keeping
Coordinates the setting up of new vendors in collaboration with Supplier Maintenance and maintains accurate accounts payable vendor files, including tracking of monthly expenditures
Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
Perform and support office administration activities
Supports both internal and external audit processes by preparing and providing necessary documentation and information
Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo values
Performs other finance duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent
A minimum of 3-years direct plant experience in the dairy plant or food industry, specifically in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based accounting ERP applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment
Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Experience in dairy accounting
SAP experience
